1) Not All Ozone Generators Are Created Equal
Some ozone generators are made for air purification, others for ozone water, but the ones we are interested in are for medical purposes. Medical grade (sometimes called laboratory grade, pure grade, etc.) will ALWAYS use pure oxygen to make ozone. This does not mean that all ozone generators using oxygen are considered good machines. We have vetted the ozone generators based on these standards:
- Stability, accuracy, and consistency
- Ease of Use
2) You Will Need An Oxygen Source
Pure oxygen is necessary to operate a medical ozone generator. We recommend you buy an oxygen tank locally. Buying online will cost about 4-6x MORE per year.
Most people just get the 540 industrial oxygen. It’s rated for the same purity as medical oxygen. Depending on which tank you choose, industrial or medical, you will need to buy a matching regulator.
There is the 870 regulator which fits to the 870 medical oxygen tank and the 540 regulator which fits to the 540 industrial tank.
There are also international oxygen tanks for anyone outside North America. Just make sure you match the name of the regulator to the fitting on the oxygen tank.

3) You DON’T Need To Buy Everything
All the ozone generator companies sell accessories but you don’t need all the accessories. You only need what is necessary for your particular ailment. For most people this is rectal insufflation (RI). Not a glamorous treatment but an effective one. The home-user kit has everything to get started with RI.
