There are a lot of studies on the use of ozone gas, water, and oil in healing of diabetic foot ulcers, diabetic lesions, and diabetic neuropathy. This is a topical application.
For the systemic treatment of type 2 diabetes, there is a lot of clinical observation by practitioners about it’s usefulness. More comprehensive clinical trials are still needed to verify just how effective ozone therapy for type 2 diabetes may be.

In line with these results, there was a decrease in the percentage of damaged pancreatic islets by ozone treatment. Ozone antioxidant properties preserved β-cells functions and reduced hyperglycemia.”
